Post-Operative Care for PDO Thread Lifts

After your PDO Thread Lift procedure, it’s important to follow these post-operative instructions to ensure the best results and to support the healing process.

  1. Reduce Pressure on the Threads:
  • Try to eat a soft diet and avoid taking big mouthfuls of food (beware of foods like apples and burgers that require a large bite).
  • Hold your brow up if you need to cry, cough, or sneeze to minimize pressure on the threads.
  1. Cold Pack:
  • Apply a cold pack to your face as tolerated and as needed to reduce swelling and discomfort.
  1. Manage Discomfort:
  • Some discomfort is to be expected. Take paracetamol or Panadeine as required. If stronger pain relief is needed, please contact us.
  1. When to Call Us:
  • If the lift feels too high.
  • If you notice signs of thread breakage.
  • If there is sudden relapse or asymmetry.
  • If the thread is visible on the face where it was trimmed.
  • If everything was settling but now you experience increased tenderness, pulling, or fever.
